В английском варианте Библии молитвы часто называются медитациями:

  1. [Psa 1] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
  2. [Gen 24] And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
